About
Reflexology can help with so many things. It is widely known to help with relaxation but that is only a tiny part.
It is impossible to list all the things it can help with but here are just a few:
Stress,
Anxiety
Depression
Pain issues,
Migraines/headaches
Pregnancy issues / relaxation in preparation for birth
Period pain/ menopause.
These are just a few of the many conditions that can be helped.
I have a specialist chair that I can use, or clients can get comfy on their own chair.
I use reflexology waxes which soften the feet, smell lovely and help with the massage movement over the foot.
I can do hands or feet, some people do not like their feet touched and do not realise Reflexology can be done on hands as well as feet.
What is a session?
A Reflexology session consists of approx 1 hour of massage, working over both feet/hands. Each reflex point mirrors an organ eg the heart, liver, lungs etc, a gland, the piturity or thyroid or a part of the body, knee, shoulder, sinuses, spine etc
A session of Reflexology can do no harm, only enhance your well being.
It is possible to feel issues in the body by these reflex points. I describe it like bubble wrap under the skin.
I can not diagnose a problem (I am not medically trained) but I can suggest if, for instance I felt your kidney reflex point, that maybe you needed more fluids.
My client base is aged between 17 and 93.
Why did I train?
I became interested in Complimentary Therapies back in 2010 when my late husband became very poorly. He was treated at St Elizabeth Hospice where he was introduced to Complimentary Therapies. There was a particular therapist there who he saw, she was amazing. As a family member, I could access them too and became very interested in the Reflexology especially. I found this helped with the rheumatism in my knee. After each session, I found a remarkable difference in my pain levels. I started to look into Reflexology and decided I would like to train as a Reflexologist.
I studied at West Suffolk College, In order to do Reflexology, I had to do Anatomy, Physiology and Pathologies as well. That was so much fun, hard work but very rewarding.
I passed both exams, obtaining VCTC Level 3 Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology and VCTC Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology,
My husband had his own personal Reflexologist. I was able to help him with his pain levels, his sleep pattern, anxiety and relaxation to name just a few benefits.
I have seen many people over the years and used reflexology on them to help maintain and improve their quality of life.
I believe a lot of people benefit from reflexology in the comfort of their own home and Reflexology Time for You delivers that need
We all need some time for ourselves and what better than 60 minutes of “me” time, with the added health benefits.
